Bird in the House

Around 9 this morning I'm still sleeping and lyd comes in my room and says,"Hannah there's a bird in the bathroom and we have to get it out."

half asleep and confused i say, "how did a bird get inside?"

She replies, "Colt left the door open and it flew in. He thought it was gone when he left. Once he got to work he called me and said 'make sure the bird out of the house', i thought it was gone too and i was going into the bathroom w/ caden when i heard a thunk flutter thunk flutter thunk and that's when i said 'ohhh no!' and got you."

And sure enough when I got out of bed and walked over to the bathroom i heard the same thing and when the bird calmed down i got the nerves to go in and look at it.

When i stuck my head in lyd grabs my arm and scares me! I JUMPED SOO HIGH!!! haha. Once we finish looking at it we had to figure out a way to get it out! Next, lyd grabs cadens inflatable airplane and starts shaking it and hitting the border of the bathroom door to get the birds attention soo it can fly out the window in the other room. It was hillarious! But eventually it work and the bird flew out the window, how ever it left a few droppings for us to remember it by! :\ haha.

Work Out

Lyd and I have started working out. I love it! It makes me feel good about myself! :D We have been going for the past three days after Caden goes to sleep. Once we get there I warm up on the bike for 7-10 mins. then I move to the walk/step thing and do that for 15-20 mins. It's soo much fun! But by the time I'm done I am SWIMMING in sweat!!! It's gross! And not to mention my face gets all red b/c I don't breathe right. ha. Having done those things Lydia and I go to lift the weights and we do various things and I also do squats every other day. We are going to continue working out everynight for the next week and a half, then we will lessen it to 3 times a week(or more). I can't wait. Now all I need to do is tan! :D haha

Porterville

The 3 hour drive from Soledad to Porterville was Beautiful yet hard. When I was looking out the window, at the scenery, it is what I would picture Africa looking like, dry grass w/ scattered trees. However, Caden was crying and we couldn't figure out why. It was hard to just sit there and let him cry but he knew we would react to it, so we finally didn't look or talk to him, and Eventually he stopped crying and listened to the music. Thank GOODNESS!!!
While in Porterville Cam and I went to see A Dark Night, and it was AMAZING!!!! Heath Ledger was Brilliant!!! It sucks that that was his last movie. :\
We (Cam. and I) also drove up deep in the mountains to jump and slide down rocks in a river(Cameron also went fishing)! It was superb! I have never done anything like it and Cam had to convince me to jump and slide b/c I was blind and couldn't see how deep it was. I didn't want to break my legs, but once I jumped and slid I wanted to do it again and again. Being up there was peaceful and I didn't want to leave, sadly however, other people started to come and it wasn't as peaceful so we packed up and left.
Poterville was A LOT of FUN! And I didn't think it would have so many fun things to do but it did and I was glad I got to meet more of Cameron's fam. they are sweet and fun. :D
I would deff. like to go back and visit some more.

Family

I am number five out of eight children. The home was always busy and has never had a dull moment. It's hard to think that my older siblings are all on their own getting married or doing there own thing:

James-25-he is the oldest-and has been married for 3 years now(i think), to Megan. They have a beautiful daughter Isa. She is my first and only niece so far!!! They also have another baby on the way, and it's a BOY!!! His name will be Hyrum James Zolman!!!

Lydia-24-she came second in line-and has always been the spoiled princess of the family! haha she usually always gets her way! and i love her all the same, she wouldn't be lyd if she acted any different. ha.-Lydia is married to Colt Carlson, and they have been married for a year and a half now, and they have a HANDSOME baby boy named Caden!

Benjamin-23-ben has always been the more softer/comforting one out of all the Zolman's. Sure he had/has his moments but doesn't everyone?-he went on a spanish speaking mission to San Diego, and i had a chance to visit him while i was spending the summer w/ my grandparents!!!-he is married now and will be for a year in nov.? or dec.? and they are soo cute together.

Seabury-19-Sea has always been the CRAZY one! haha. He sure does know how to make life fun! He has decided to go into the Marines and this scares me a great deal. I know that one day soon he will have to go to Iraq and that's a terrifiying* thought. I consider him my best friend! I love him!!!

I followed Seabury a year and a half later. haha

And then there are the 3 younger then me!

Susanna, Conrad, and Daniel: 16, 13, 11: They are the Sweetest little brothers and sis you could ask for!!! I have had many fun times w/ each of them!!!

Selective Hearing&Seeing

"People see and hear what they want to see and hear."

Why can't one see the good in others and not judge them by there outer appearance?

The Curse
"We heard the tales since we were young Heard the songs that have been sung About an evil spell Someone beautiful is cursed We feel sad through every verse Til a kiss and all is well The message that no one can see Is clearer to someone like me There is no curse or evil spell That's worse than one we give ourselves There is no sorcerer as cruel As the proud, angry fool And yet we cry "life isn't fair" Beneath our cries the truth is there The power that will break the spell We should know very well Is locked within ourselves Yet we'd rather blame And curse out fate than change We run from everyone to hide from the pain And all the shame The story's old, we know it well About a wretched evil spell The power that will break this curse Oh I know all too well Is locked within myself.."

…one chooses how one acts in certain circumstances (right or wrong/good or bad) and that determines who one becomes.

If one lets worldly things affect one: one becomes ugly on the inside, but if one listens to ones heart and loves all: one can be beautiful both inside and out...

"Love, more than anything Teaches our hearts to sing Only love could break the shell Now I know very well The love within myself"

Who I am, and what I like.

Hannah Zolman- a fun, loving, adventurous, and silly girl of 18.

I am the type of girl who will burst out laughing in dead silence because of something that happened yesturday.

I am planning on going to college this fall or spring, (i would really like to go into nursing).

I love...

.....the snow and miss it dearly!

.....cuddling and sipping hot coco while its cold outside!

.....to laugh and have fun.

.....my family. They are the most important people in my life.

.....the ocean. I have always been a beach girl! I'll prob. stay here in Cali. once I'm done with college and work in a hospital out here. If not here it'll be someplace on the east coast.

.....traveling. I have been to every contiguous state except Maine. I would like to go to China, Japan, Russia and a few places in Africa, before I pass away.

.....trying new things. -Just recently-- Cameron picked me up on Wed. (July 30th) and took me to Pismo beach where his family goes camping often. I loved hanging out with them. We went fishing off the pier, rode in the rinho(sp?), played monkey balls, and went swimming/boogie boarding. It was a lot of fun and something I have never done before.

.....reading. I have read all kinds of books...however, i only enjoy reading if it is for fun. If it's for a school assignment it's a little more difficult for me to get into.
.....quotes. Here are a few of my favorite:
- "An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind." -Gandhi
- "All our dreams can come true-if we have the courage to pursue them."-Walt Disney
- "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss
- "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." -Oliver Wendell Holmes
- "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experiences of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired and success achieved." -Helen Keller
- "Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved." -William Jennings Bryan
( i have many many more quotes)
and.....music. It has always been a big part of my life. I listen to all types and love it all, the only type I have a hard time getting into is country. (sorry country lovers...)
